Can I customize the frequency of my subscription or delivery schedule?

Yes! You can skip a delivery, and change your delivery date through your subscription confirmation email. We always want to make sure you're getting your turmeric only when you need it!

Does my subscription automatically renew?
Yes, all subscriptions auto-renew, so if you'd like to cancel, please do so before the next billing cycle 12 months from your first charge.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes! You can cancel at any time through your subscription confirmation email.
Please find this email in your inbox with the subject line: "Your recurring order purchase confirmation from Diaspora Co. Spices"
Go to "Manage Subscription"
Find the link for "Cancel" in the table under "Actions"
Select your reason for cancellation and click "Cancel my subscription"
Please note that cancellations to your subscription only apply to the next billing cycle, and ensure your subscription will not auto-renew. Product you have already been billed for will continue to ship out as scheduled. 

What if I cancel my subscription after I’ve been billed, but before my shipment (or future shipments) has arrived?

Your order will still be on its way. Cancellations made after billing will only affect the next billing cycle. We cannot retroactively refund your subscription after you’ve been billed.

Can I reactivate my subscription?

Glad to have you back. 😊 You can reactivate through your subscription confirmation email. Please find this email in your inbox with the subject line: Your recurring order purchase confirmation from Diaspora Co. Spices.
Go to "Manage Subscription"
Find the link for "Reactivate" in the table under "Actions"
Please note that reactivating your subscription ensures your subscription will auto-renew every 3 months.

Can I make edits to my subscription plan after I already signed up?

To make any edits to your subscription, please find this email in your inbox with the subject line: “Your recurring order purchase confirmation from Diaspora Co. Spices” and then click the link “Manage Subscription."
These details are changeable after you have subscribed:
Shipping Address: 
Under your name in the on the left side, click "Delivery Schedule"
Click on "Edit in the first table under "Actions
Under your shipping address, click "Edit"
Change your shipping address and then click "Save" at the bottom of the page
Please note a change in shipping address only applies to all future shipments (cannot be applied to any shipment you have already been billed for). If you'd like only one shipment to reach a different address, please change the shipping address before the next your delivery date and then change it back to your original address after your the delivery date has passed.
Skip an Order: 
Under your name in the on the left side, click "Delivery Schedule"
Click on Skip" in the fifth table under "Skip

Swap Product: 
Under "Actions" on the customer portal, click "Swap"
Select the product you'd like to swap your current subscription out for
Select your desired quantity and delivery schedule and then click "Swap Product"
Billing Info
Go to “Billing Information” on the left side
Use the links “Update Card” and/or “Edit” 

What is your return policy?

At Diaspora Co., our goal is to provide our customers with the highest quality of goods. We want you to be happy with your turmeric, so we strive to make sure our return policies reflect that.
Since we cannot resell any powdered turmeric that’s already been shipped to you for sanitary reasons, we’re unable to accept returns on our jars, tins, and bags of turmeric, or pickles.
But don’t worry—we’re here to help! If there was an error with your order, please contact info@diasporaco.com within 30 days of your purchase. If you are dissatisfied with your turmeric in any way, don’t hesitate to reach out to the same address within 30 days of purchase.

When will my package arrive / why isn’t it here yet?

Here is how shipping works:
You pay for a shipping tier at checkout
  • Economy (5-7 business days)
  • International (7-14 business days)

Check your tracking number to see what date your package actually ships. Your package should arrive within your shipping tier time frame, but only after the date of shipment, not from the date of purchase.
There is a window between purchase and shipment in which we take to process your orders, purchase shipping labels, package your items, and wait for carriers to pick up your packages. Please note this process takes much longer during the high volume of the holidays.
Essentially:
Estimated arrival date = date of shipment (can be found by tracking number) + shipping tier time frame
Estimated arrival date ≠ date of purchase + shipping tier time frame
And during holidays:
Estimated arrival date = date of shipment + shipping tier time frame + a handful of extra days due to high volume for shipping centers and postal carriers
Please don’t reach out to us about the whereabouts of your package until after your estimated arrival date has passed. Packages are most likely still on their way to you.

Why has my tracking information disappeared / stopped?

US orders:

Packages get scanned in California and don’t scan again until arrival in your state. If tracking hasn’t updated in a few days, assume that it’s because it’s somewhere between California and the arrival state. Please don’t reach out to us about the whereabouts of your package until after your estimated arrival date (see When will my package arrive / why isn’t it here yet? to calculate this date) has passed. Packages are most likely still on their way to you.

International orders:

Tracking stops after the package lands in the arrival country. Packages usually arrive to customers 2-3 days after this. If it hasn’t been 14 days after your package has shipped yet, please assume your package is still on its way. Please don’t reach out to us about the whereabouts of your package until after your estimated arrival date (see When will my package arrive / why isn’t it here yet? to calculate this date) has passed. Packages are most likely still on their way to you.
